Mobile Foot General Maintenance Operative - Birmingham - National Facilities Management Organisation
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced General Building Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of repairs, maintenance, and minor construction tasks across multiple sites. You will ensure buildings are kept in excellent condition, responding to both planned and reactive maintenance requests.
This is a mobile foot opportunity, working on a variety of commercial contracts within Birmingham City Centre.
Package:
Competitive salary between £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and plastering
Carry out minor electrical repairs (if qualified) and assist with larger repairs
Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance issues promptly
Assist with refurbishments and improvement works
Respond to reactive maintenance requests efficiently and professionally
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any major issues
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant trade (advantageous)
Proven experience in a general building maintenance or multi-trade role
Skills in plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, plastering, and general repairs
Basic electrical knowledge (preferred but not essential)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
