Salary: £11.50 per hour
Are you looking for a role as a food production operative or warehouse operative? Join our dynamic team and play a key part in preparing high-quality fruit and vegetable products at our manufacturing centre in Preston.
About the Role
We are hiring food production operatives to handle and prepare fruit and vegetable products for our supermarkets. Your work will include:
* Preparing fresh produce such as melons, apples, pineapples, carrots, and onions by slicing, peeling, and dicing.
* Working in a chilled environment at 5°C—dress warmly underneath the provided overalls.
* Lifting products weighing up to 25kg.
* General cleaning of the manufacturing site to maintain hygiene standards.
* Operating within all health and safety regulations.
Our warehouse operatives and food production operatives are vital to ensuring our supermarkets are stocked and ready to deliver excellent service to customers.
Shift Details
* Full-time, 5 days per week, including 2–3 Saturdays per month.
* Fixed shifts: 07:00 – 15:30.
Pay and Benefits
In addition to earning £11.50 per hour, you will enjoy:

What We’re Looking For
To join us as a food production operative or warehouse operative, you’ll need:
* Previous experience using a knife in a work environment.
* Physical fitness, as the role is demanding, including manual handling tasks.
* Safety footwear and a hi-visibility top to access the site.
* The ability to work effectively in a team and meet productivity targets.
Experience in food manufacturing or using manual handling equipment is advantageous but not essential.
