Job Description
GPS Recruitment are teamed up with the UK’s leading specialist in independent testing and system design within the Flat Roofing industry and want to make contact with Integrity Testing Technicians.
As Testing Technician, the position will oversee multiple construction sites throughout the UK regularly. With the position being a new appointment of a new division, there is potential to be an integral part of the team’s growth, development and progress.
Working remotely from a home base, you will visit different construction sites, both commercial and residential, to ensure each project passes the quality standards and complete relevant reports.
Full training and resources are on hand with the view to be truly successful in the role, key areas are:
* Conduct tests and inspections on various products and systems to ensure they meet quality standards
* Follow test procedures and protocols to accurately perform tests and record results
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with products or systems during testing
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify areas for improvement in testing processes
* Maintain test equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly
* Document test results and prepare reports for review by management
Relevant skills/ experience:
* Full clean driving license required
* Previous experience in roofing or in a similar role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for testing
* Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
* Knowledge of masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding, building, plumbing, or fabrication is a plus
