Job Description
First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for an all-round Fitter for their client who specialise in offering a comprehensive solution for all commercial fuel management and environmental services.
You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), Plant equipment ensuring they are roadworthy and meet safety standards.
The role involves preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs to a high standard, with attention to health and safety regulations. You will also maintain accurate service records, perform pre-MOT checks and communicate with fleet managers regarding vehicle conditions and repair timelines, work with Plant machinery, hydraulics & electrics.
The Salary on offer for this role is up to £55k.
Requirements:
Proven experience in maintaining and repairing HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant equipment, hydraulics and electrics.
Welding and fabrication skills, with the ability to perform pre-MOT checks and preventative maintenance.
