Job Description

On behalf of our client, a specialist Aerospace fabrication and welding business, we’re actively recruiting a number First Article & Quality Inspectors to join their growing team in Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic chance to join a dynamic team specialising in precision engineering and high-quality components. The Role As a First Article Inspector, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring compliance and quality standards are met. Key responsibilities include: * Collating and submitting FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) to AS9102 standards. * Reviewing, approving, and submitting FAIRs. * Interpreting aerospace sheet metal and assembly drawings, including tolerances. * Conducting manual inspection and measuring of parts. * Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to uphold stringent industry standards. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Experience in a FAIR collation/submission role within aerospace or a similarly regulated industry. * A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably aerospace sheet metal or assembly. * Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances. * Hands-on expertise in manual inspection and measurement techniques. * Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and related tools. * Demonstrated experience with FAIR processes from collation to submission.
