Job Description

Job Title Fire & Security Engineer – Installation, Service & Maintenance Location Coverage Area: Primarily from Bournemouth to Brighton, around the M25 to the M4 corridor, and down the A34 to Salisbury. Most work is within Hampshire. Contracted Hours 40 hours per week Salary Starting from £42,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications. The salary is based on certifications that prove competency, such as fire alarm commissioning, extinguisher testing, ECS cards, PSAMA cards, and other relevant security industry certifications. Overtime Available, depending on project needs. Call-Out & Standby * Call-out: 1 week in 5 * Standby rate: £135 per week * Door-to-door pay for any calls attended Travel * 1 hour travel time is expected in the morning and afternoon. Any additional travel or overtime will be paid accordingly. About the Role We are looking for skilled engineers to join our team, working across various fire and security systems. Our engineers are involved in a variety of tasks, from fault-finding and maintenance to small works on fire and security systems, covering a large area within the South of England. This role offers a competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications, with opportunities for overtime and additional earnings through call-out and standby duties. Key Responsibilities * Install, service, and maintain fire and security systems, including alarms, CCTV, and access control * Fault finding, troubleshooting, and system repairs * Provide high-quality service to both commercial and residential clients * Complete necessary documentation and compliance checks * Participate in the call-out rota and standby duties as required Experience and Qualifications * Experience in fire and security systems installation, servicing, and maintenance * Relevant qualifications such as fire alarm commissioning, extinguisher training, ECS cards, PSAMA cards (preferred) * Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems * Full UK driving license * Excellent customer service and communication skills Additional Information * Salary: Starts from £42,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience * Overtime and call-out opportunities available * 1 week in 5 call-out rota * £135 per week standby rate * Door-to-door pay for any calls attended * 40 contracted working hours per week If you have the relevant qualifications and are looking for a varied and rewarding role with great benefits and opportunities for development, we want to hear from you!
