A respected fire consultancy is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor to join their London-based team. With a strong presence in the fire safety sector, this firm delivers expert fire risk management services across residential, commercial, healthcare, and local authority projects.
Their friendly team of 14 is split between Fire Design and Site Inspection, offering an excellent opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor to develop their expertise across multiple sectors.
The Fire Risk Assessor's Role
The Fire Risk Assessor will conduct fire risk assessments, evaluate fire safety measures, and provide expert consultancy advice. They will work across both new and existing buildings, ensuring compliance with current fire regulations.
Conducting Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across residential, commercial, healthcare, and local authority properties
Producing detailed Fire Risk Reports, with clear recommendations for fire safety improvements
Advising clients on fire risk management strategies
Assessing fire compartmentation, fire doors, and escape routes
Evaluating external facades in line with post-Grenfell regulations
Collaborating with fire engineers and design teams to deliver comprehensive fire safety solutions
The Successful Fire Risk Assessor Will Have
Experience conducting FRAs across multiple sectors
Strong report writing and communication skills
Knowledge of fire safety legislation and building regulations
An understanding of construction methods and fire protection measures
A recognised fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire, IFSM, IFE membership)
The ability to provide clear fire safety advice to clients
