Job Description

We are looking for a talented Financial Crime Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting the business and its customers by identifying, analysing, and preventing financial crime. You’ll use your analytical skills and expertise to develop fraud prevention strategies, deliver actionable insights, and enhance detection tools. Key Responsibilities: * Bring a broad knowledge of financial crime, including fraud, money laundering, Counter terrorism funding and other key risks, to support prevention and detection strategies. * Develop and optimise fraud detection tools to minimize losses and disruption. * Analyse data to identify trends, produce reports, and recommend solutions. * Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive fraud prevention strategies. * Represent the Financial Crime Team in key projects, providing expert insights. What We’re Looking For: * A minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial crime, fraud prevention, or analytics (e.g., ecommerce or banking). * Advanced proficiency in Excel, VBA, Power BI, and Access. * Strong analytical skills with experience in using fraud detection systems. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to present insights clearly. * Experience dealing with AML, CTF, PEP, SARS and MI reporting. * A degree-level qualification (a financial crime-related certification is an advantage).
