Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team based at our Scout Store in Lancing.
Job Title: Finance Officer
Salary: £29,726 per annum, Band D, Level 3, inclusive of a market supplement
Location: Scout Store, Lancing, West Sussex, BN15 8UG (Onsite – Office Based). This role is not hybrid or remote; it requires full-time presence at our Scout Store office in Lancing.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 35
About The Role:
As the Finance Officer you will be a key contact for all customer service enquiries. You will be responsible for the daily banking process, allocating payments and preparing supplier payment runs. You will also raise bank reconciliations and undertake reconciliation work as specified by the Finance Team leaders.
As the Finance Officer, your Key Responsibilities will include:
Handle customer enquiries and financial transactions
Process payments, expenses, and direct debits accurately and on time
Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Work closely with our Customer Service Team and internal Account Handlers
What we are looking for in our Finance Officer:
Experience in an accounts department
Knowledge of computerised accounting systems & Microsoft Office
Understanding of basic accounting concepts
Attention to detail & high accuracy
A proactive and positive attitude
