Search are recruiting a Finance Officer on a part-time (3 days) permanent basis for our client's Edinburgh office with hybrid working. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage day-to-day financial transactions, systems and procedures. This is a varied role that offers a chance to work in a supportive and collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing daily financial transactions.
* Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
* Monitoring budgets and financial forecasts.
* Generating financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
* Assisting with budget preparation and financial audits.
* Handling accounts payable and receivable.
* Preparing VAT returns and updating internal systems with financial data.
Skills/Experience you'll ideally have:
* Previous experience in a finance role.
* Experience with accounting packages is desirable.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure.
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload.
