Finance Officer - Independent School | London
📍 Location: Battersea, London, SW11 1HS
💰 Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience)
📆 Contract: Full-time, all-year-round
A prestigious independent school in Battersea, London, is looking for a Finance Officer to support its finance team. This role focuses on purchase and nominal ledger management, reconciliations, and financial operations to ensure smooth financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee purchase and nominal ledgers, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately.
Perform bank reconciliations and process weekly BACS runs.
Manage supplier accounts, including setting up and maintaining relationships.
Support budget holders and assist in capital project accounting.
Process staff expenses and assist with external audits.
What We're Looking For:
Degree in Accounting and part-qualified or working towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
Experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial controls.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and support internal stakeholders.
Experience in education or schools (desirable but not essential).
