About the role
As Finance Executive at Talent Nexus, your inputs will be vital to the department’s day-to-day operations. This is an important junior role whose inputs will feed into most deliverables of the department. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tasks within a Finance department, including ownership of the department’s central mailbox; taking the lead on all things invoices related; leading on payment runs; owning the revenue billing process; and much more.
Reporting to our Finance Manager, you’ll be part of an agile Finance team and will play an important role in helping us achieve a number of our departmental level objectives. In this opportunity, your core responsibilities will involve:
* Management of the Finance team’s central mailbox
* Ensure invoices are posted onto the system in an accurate and timely manner
* Ownership of the weekly payment run process and related tasks
* Ownership of revenue billing and updating related worksheets
* Liaison with our sales and media teams on client-related issues and queries
* Support with bank reconciliation processes, including credit card transactions reconciliations
* Support with credit control processes
* Confirm bank details with new suppliers before payment
* Ownership of the employee expense claim process
* Support the team with ongoing finance projects or any other ad-hoc tasks as required
* Assist with queries and requests from other departments
Who we’re looking for:
* A degree in Accounting and Finance and/or progression on the AAT/ACCA/CIMA is a plus
* Previous experience in a similar role and exposure to accounting systems is also a plus
* Strong Excel skills
* Someone who is interested in pursuing a career path in Finance and is eager to learn
* Strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines
* Enjoys having responsibilities/ownerships
* Strong numerical/analytical ability
* Strong attention to detail
* Strong problem solving abilities
* High adaptxability and enjoys working in a fast paced dynamic start up/SME environment
* Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
