Field Service Engineer, Bury St Edmunds
(Control Systems – Industrial Automation Field. Food Industry)
£45,000 - £50,000/DOE + Company van, Bonus, O/T, Healthcare
Package of c£55,000-£60,000 depending on base salary and O/T.
We would like to hear from experienced Field Service Engineers who have strong knowledge and experience of working with PLC’s, VFD’s, SCADA, HMI Systems and Electrical Circuits within Industrial automation and machinery ideally gained within manufacturing or industrial environments.
A busy and varied role working for a world leading company operating within the food industry, you will be attending customer sites across the UK carrying out new equipment and machinery installations in addition to providing on-site maintenance, repair and troubleshooting services as required, including PPM, corrective repairs, upgrade and modifications ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification
* Demonstrable experience working within an electrical field service role.
* Knowledge of control systems, automation and/or machinery.
* Experience with PLC’s (Allen Bradley/Siemens) HMI systems, VFD’s, SCADA
* Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical and control system issues.
* Excellent customer service skills with ability to explain technical information clearly.
* Strong knowledge of electrical diagrams, machine wiring, electrical standards and safety procedures.
* Working independently as well as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to manage competing workloads in time sensitive environments.
* A food industry background would be beneficial but not essential.
