Job Description

Field Engineer (Telecoms) Office Location: Bradley Stoke, Bristol Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + Car Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm You will be responsible for attending customer sites to install, maintain and problem solve system issues. You will be instrumental in working with the provisioning and sales teams to ensure solutions are built and delivered to meet customer expectation. You will attend project meetings and ensure stakeholders are updated regularly with progress throughout the project delivery phase. To help maintain and drive efficiency, my client looking for someone with a strong technical background with excellent customer service and communication skills who will have the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: Install Cloud Telephony Systems. Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, QoS) Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Consult with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Strong communication skills. Passion for customer service. Collaborator but also able to work independently. Enjoy problem solving. Experience of cabling desirable. Skills & Experience: At least 2 years Cloud Telephony experience, installation and support. Sound understanding of SIP telephony protocol. Proven hands-on engineering experience. Deep understanding of Draytek, Ruckus and UniFi equipment Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model Firsthand experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Excellent communication skills High attention to detail
