Locum Family Therapist – Specialist Eating Disorder Unit, Bristol
We are seeking an experienced Locum Family Therapist to join our dedicated team in a small specialist Eating Disorder Unit based in an elegant 18th-century country residence set within stunning parkland, conveniently located close to the centre of Bristol.
About the Role
This is a part-time locum role for three days per week (with potential to extend to four days), providing vital clinical support to individuals and families affected by eating disorders. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team (MDT), primarily delivering family therapy sessions and attending key MDT meetings.
Contract Type: Locum (initially 3 days per week, may extend to 4 days)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
Provide systemic family therapy to individuals and families within the inpatient unit
Conduct 1:1, family, and group therapy sessions
Participate in MDT meetings, contributing to patient care planning
Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure holistic, patient-centred care
Support both inpatient and outpatient services as required
Essential Requirements
Qualified Systemic Family Psychotherapist, registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) via the College of Family, Couple, and Systemic Therapy
Educated to MSc level in Family Therapy
Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health services
Skilled in delivering 1:1, family, and group therapy
Ability to work effectively within an MDT setting
