What You’ll Be Doing:
* Maintenance & Compliance Oversight: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with statutory regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Lead the execution of response and planned maintenance work across the site.
* Risk Management & Safety: Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations including JSP 375, Legionella, and Asbestos safety plans.
* Stakeholder Support & Technical Expertise: Act as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, offering technical advice and resolving maintenance issues. Collaborate closely with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure operational efficiency.
* Team Supervision & Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, ensuring high levels of performance, safety, and accountability. Oversee resource management, including optimizing vehicles, equipment, and workforce for effective service delivery.
* Project Management & Budgeting: Manage small projects, balancing operational requirements with financial goals and compliance objectives.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
* Technical Expertise: You’ll have a background in Building, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, with an HNC-level qualification (or equivalent) and substantial hands-on experience in facilities and maintenance management.
* Accreditations: You should be (or willing to become) qualified as a Legionella Responsible Person, Asbestos Responsible Person, or Temporary Works Responsible Person.
* IT Literacy: Strong IT skills are essential to manage data, resources, and documentation effectively.
* Health & Safety Expertise: A management-level qualification in Health & Safety, such as SMSTS, will be highly beneficial.
* Project Management Experience: A proven ability to manage small projects, delivering results on time and within budget.
* Proven Leadership: A demonstrated ability to supervise and lead teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
