Facilities Engineer Technician

Our client are a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, home and personal-care, and other products.
Job purpose
To provide general site services support to the business as directed by the facilities leader and/or engineering manager. You will be required to carry out general engineering tasks under supervision of the facilities leader and / or engineering manager whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Contractor management. Check contractor documentation and complete permits. Supervise contractors while on site.
Work with facilities leader to ensure legal compliance of facilities.
Complete general maintenance and repairs of site services.
Ladder inspections, manage system, inspect ladders, report and implement repairs.
Plant room checks and penstock valve ppm.
Complete weekly fire alarm checks and report defects.
Office moves, telephones. Resource to carry out office relocations.
General engineering tasks (non-safety critical) to be completed under supervision of the engineering supervisors and /or manager
Other duties as required relating to site maintenance and services.
Qualifications/experience
Background in plumbing and site services essential
Good stakeholder management
General it literacy essential
Background in a factory environment desirable.
Gas safe qualification desirable
Experience of working with hvac and humidification systems desirable
