Location of the Fabrication Team Leader position: Mirfield
A market-leading Automotive business in West Yorkshire requires a Fabrication Team Leader to support their continued growth in the sub-assembly department and Fabrication department. The role would be leading 6 - 8 people, the area is clean and organised, and this position has become available due to an internal promotion within the company.
The position would suit people who have experience of leading a team within a manufacturing/Engineering environment. This is a hands-on role, and the successful person will have exposure working within aluminium fabrication, and use of the machine shop; guillotine, folder, cross-cut and band saw.
Key Responsibilities of the Fabrication Team Leader:
Organise the day-to-day duties of your team
Keeping work boards updated, allocating work to people
Ensuring all parts have been requested from the 2 sites and or engineering has been completed.
Advise the supervisor of any parts shortages or constraints
As required, attend, and participate in prebuild meetings.
Assist with the fabrication and assembly of aluminium, stainless steel, and copolymer plastic parts for the vehicles.
Key requirements of the role
Relevant previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Good communication, both written and oral.
The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Good organisational skills.
Use of the machine shop equipment such as guillotine, folder, cross-cut and band saw. (No welding required)
