JOB TITLE: Fabric Technician
INDUSTRY: Building and Construction

SALARY BAND: £20ph - £24ph
LOCATION: Exeter
Fabric Technician required to join our clients maintenance team based in Exeter to handle various fabric-related tasks including painting, maintenance, and decorating across their facilities.
As a Fabric Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and installation of various building fabric elements, with a specific focus on fire doors. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and enhance the overall safety of our campus facilities.
Role & Responsibilities Fabric Technician:
Carry out general building repair and maintenance
Changing of locks, door closures and other door furniture
Basic plumbing and small leak repairs
Small painting, decoration and making good Fitting of carpet tiles
To apply relevant trade skills to carry out reactive maintenance standards
Ensure health and safety of sites are met to regulation standardsKey Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience - working within general building and maintenance repairs
Relevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 2 in a trade or Building Maintenance Carpentry & Joinery/ is preferred.
Essential to have excellent client facing skills
