Fabric Engineer – Facilities Maintenance – Edinburgh
FM Search & Select Ltd is looking for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a leading facilities management company, providing maintenance services across commercial buildings in Edinburgh and the East. This role is perfect for a multi-skilled professional with experience in general building maintenance, repairs, and compliance checks.

Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:
*
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial buildings, including joinery, basic plumbing, painting, and general repairs
*
Inspect and repair doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, and fixtures to ensure a safe working environment
*
Assist with minor electrical and mechanical works where required
*
Complete compliance checks such as fire door inspections and emergency lighting tests
*
Work closely with other FM engineers to ensure smooth service delivery
*
Maintain accurate records of work completed and liaise with clients as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
*
Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Maintenance Technician, or Joiner within a facilities or commercial maintenance environment
*
Strong knowledge of carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, and general repairs
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Health & Safety awareness and knowledge of compliance regulations
*
Full UK driving licence
