Are you looking for a role to support young learners in their early years?GSL Education are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to work at a warm and inclusive Client school for children with range of Special Needs and Disabilities in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
Provide 1:1 or small group support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities.
Assist in implementing learning activities according to child’s needs.
Support the development of communication, social, and sensory skills.
Establish rapport and trusting relationship and communicate effectively with children and their families and carers.
EYFS Teaching Assistant Requirements:
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
Have experience working with young children, ideally within a SEN setting.
Possess a good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
Passionate about children’s learning and has knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience or understanding of behaviours linked to additional needs.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
