Job Description
Sellick Partnership is currently supporting a Bristol-based client with the recruitment of an Executive Director of Housing on an interim basis for 6-9 months.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for creating and managing a new housing directorate.
About the Executive Director of Housing role:
Responsible for services including estate management, responsive repairs, planned maintenance, housing options, housing delivery business development, and private and accessible housing.
Take leadership responsibility for all strategic matters concerning the corporate plan outcomes across the city.
Provide overall leadership of all aspects of the Council's housing and homelessness agenda, developing and delivering strategies and services to address housing needs, and prevent rough sleeping and homelessness.
Provide strategic leadership to improving building safety practices and ensure full compliance with housing statutory and regulatory requirements so that residents can feel safe and comfortable in their homes.
Work closely with partners across the city and wider region to deliver comprehensive housing strategies and solutions that respond to the housing needs of the City's communities.Requirements for the Executive Director of Housing role:
Proven track record of consistent and demonstrable leadership achievement at a strategic level in housing.
Expertise and significant experience in leading and delivering a diverse range of housing services across multi-disciplinary teams and functions.
Ability to build and develop strategic relationships, influencing and negotiating at the highest levels with a wide range of stakeholders.
