Job Description
Façade, Aluminium, Windows & Doors, curtain walling & fire rated glazing systems
An Estimator with strong experienced within the external envelope sector is needed for a growing contractor within the façade industry.
The Role and Estimator:
* Producing estimates for a fabricated range of aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors systems.
* Reviewing construction drawings and specification documents.
* Developing detailed quotations, proposals and cost breakdowns.
* Liaising with clients and sub contractors to discuss any technical queries and quotations
* Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Schucal (Schuco Windows and Curtain Walling) or Reynaers.
* Other IT skills – MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Bluebeam.
* Basic AutoCAD.
* Prepare Bills and written offers using standard documentation.
* Attend meetings with clients/architects alongside the Commercial team.
* Obtain samples when requested by clients and senior management team.
* Obtain Thermal U-value calculations to validate product specifications.
* Obtain Thermal Safety Check calculations to validate glass specifications.
* Amend original quotations and bills in line with changed instructions from the bid team.
* When a contract is secured, prepare handover documents and compliance data with the bid teamBefore You Apply
