Estimator | Remote, office based in Chesterfield | Up to £50,000 per annum plus car allowance
A specialist geotechnical and structural solutions provider is seeking an Estimator to join their team. With decades of experience in ground engineering, structural installation, and maintenance, the company works across diverse sectors, including highways, railways, commercial, and residential projects.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in unique and challenging projects, from castles and cliffs to major infrastructure works. The ideal candidate will have a background in geotechnical engineering, piling, or slope stabilisation and will play a key role in delivering a growing portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities:
Estimating & Tendering – Prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and tender documentation, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
Client & Project Engagement – Attend site visits and client meetings, proactively managing enquiries to maximize sales opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
Handover & Collaboration – Work closely with operations and commercial teams, providing clear handovers and support throughout the project lifecycle to optimize efficiency and profitability.
Candidate Requirements:
Estimating experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, Piling, Geotechnical, Slope stabilisation or ground anchors - Min. 2 years’ experience. (including strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills)
Ability to take a detailed and technical approach to your work, with great communication and time management skills to co-ordinate site visits when required.
Previous work or understanding of slope stabilisation and drilling rigs. Knowledge of solid and hollow bars (Desirable).
