Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems Job Title: Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems Industry Sector: Senior Estimator, Estimator, Estimates, Estimating, Aluminium Windows, Aluminium Doors, Facades, Architectural Glazing, Structural Glazing, Frameless Glazing, Building Envelope, Curtain Walling, Fire Rated Screens, Fire Rated Glazing, Rooflights, Glazing, Main Contractors, Tier 1 Contractors Location: Commutable to Cardiff Remuneration: £30,000 - £45,000 + discretionary bonus Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package The role of the Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems will involve: * Estimator position producing estimates for the design, manufacture and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows, doors and facades * Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns * Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs * Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects * Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond * Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated * Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured * Attending pre and post tender meetings as and when required * Estimating for projects ranging in value from £100k to circa £10m * Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Aluminium Glazing Systems experience with: * Must have 2+ years estimating experience within the UK construction industry * Ideally will have a strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing & structural glazing * Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings * Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office) * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Excellent analytical and numerical skills * Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, and Construction vacancies positions within: Senior Estimator, Estimator, Estimates, Estimating, Aluminium Windows, Aluminium Doors, Facades, Architectural Glazing, Structural Glazing, Frameless Glazing, Building Envelope, Curtain Walling, Fire Rated Screens, Fire Rated Glazing, Rooflights, Glazing, Main Contractors, Tier 1 Contractors
