I am looking for a passionate Environmental Specialist to help lead sustainability efforts and ensure compliance with legal and corporate environmental standards.
The Role
As an Environmental Specialist, you’ll be responsible for overseeing environmental operations at the site, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and corporate sustainability goals. You’ll help drive improvements in environmental practices across the facility and contribute to the company’s sustainability mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure Compliance: Manage environmental aspects to meet legal and corporate standards.
* Monitor & Report: Conduct environmental monitoring and report findings as required.
* Support ESG Targets: Lead efforts to achieve Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement improvements in waste management and energy efficiency.
* Risk Management: Develop strategies to reduce environmental risks and improve performance.
* Manage Waste & Budget: Oversee the waste contract and operational budget.
* Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with UK environmental legislation and ensure compliance.
Your Experience:
* Proven experience in environmental management, ideally in manufacturing.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 and UK environmental permits.
* Strong project management skills and a track record of successful environmental projects.
* Ability to influence and lead initiatives without direct authority.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in environmental management software and systems.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teamsBefore You Apply
