📍 Location: Near Halifax
💰 Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
🕒 Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 14:30

Are you a dynamic and hands-on EHS Manager looking for your next challenge? Edwards Employment Solutions Ltd is proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in the PVC compound industry, supplying clients worldwide. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their team and looking for an experienced and proactive EHS Manager to drive health, safety, and environmental best practices across the site.
The Role - Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager:
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will champion a positive safety culture through strong leadership, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will take a hands-on approach, ensuring compliance, implementing innovative health & safety strategies, and influencing change at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Ensure legal compliance by conducting regular audits & inspections, maintaining the highest safety standards
✅ Lead training for new and existing staff, identifying development opportunities
✅ Implement continuous improvement techniques to enhance safety & environmental performance
✅ Investigate incidents & near-misses, conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions
✅ Develop and maintain risk assessments, method statements & safe working procedures
✅ Drive and deliver the company’s Health & Safety strategy across the site
✅ Stay up to date with evolving HSE legislation and ensure company compliance
✅ Conduct site inspections & audits, producing detailed reports and action plans
✅ Oversee RAMS, COSHH assessments & accident investigations
✅ Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards
What We’re Looking For - Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager:
🔹 Proven experience in an EHS role within a heavy manufacturing environment
🔹 Strong background in driving change & improving health & safety performance
🔹 Confident in delivering training, influencing teams & implementing best practices
🔹 NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred
🔹 Ability to work across all levels of the business, influencing & engaging employees
