Job Description

Engineering Technician Ashton-in-Makerfield, Lancashire. £30,000 - £35,000 + 7.5% annual bonus + benefits One of the UK's leading temporary works specialists with 6 offices are on the lookout for an Engineering Technician with at least 1 year of experience in a similar position to join the team in Ashton-in-Makerfield, near Wigan in a permanent capacity. The main purpose of this role is to produce drawings to effectively communicate temporary works designs produced by the engineering team. This role offers flexible home-working, including 3 days per week in the office in Ashton-in-Makerfield and 2 from home. Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician: Be proficient in the efficient use of AutoCAD and REVIT to produce high quality drawings. Develop an understanding of Mabey Hire's equipment and how the components fit together. Produce general arrangement and detail drawing to communicate the temporary works designs produced by the engineers. Produce accurate kit lists to allow enquiries to be quoted. Produce fabrication drawings for special parts when required. Effectively manage own workload within Launchpad to ensure deadlines are met, including maintaining accurate timesheets. Undertake basic calculations to support the production of drawings. Take responsibility for driving own leaning and development.
