Job Description

Our client, a successful food manufacturer, seek to appoint an Engineering Manager with overall responsibility for the maintenance of their high volume, automated manufacturing plant. You will manage and supervise a team of electrical and mechanical Maintenance Engineers to increase OEE, improve Health & Safety, and guarantee production KPIs are met. The ideal Engineering Manager will utilise TPM principles and Lean Manufacturing to increase efficiency throughout the plant, ensuring tasks are carried out in line with the companies safety policies. Engineering Manager - Role & Responsibilities  - Create and maintain a safe working environment managing engineering risks efficiently  - Management of engineering budget, wages/rota's/shift cover, consumables spend, CAPEX projects, and any recruitment/HR issues that arise in the day to day running of a large department  - Carry out personal development plans with the team to monitor/improve performance   - Provide additional support to the Engineering/Site teams to ensure high levels of manufacturing performance  - Participate in site improvement and support Lean manufacturing rollout  - Ensure all Maintenance and Engineering plans correspond with the national manufacturing/engineering/maintenance strategies. Support CMMS integration Engineering Manager - Skills & Abilities  - 3 years engineering management experience within a food/FMCG business  - HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent within an engineering discipline  - Previous experience of delivering performance improvement and cost reduction in a TPM framework: PPM, OEE, SPC, CMMS, lean  - Team management and development. Experience of training, coaching and improving Maintenance Engineers/Technicians Engineering Manager, Maintenance, TPM, PPM , OEE
