Engineering Manager

Salary: Circa £50k, plus bonus and call out fee and company vehicle
Shifts: Days Monday to Friday
A local Engineering company who specialises in Cold Store Logistics are now looking for a Engineering Manager to join their team.
Purpose of Role – Engineering Manager
* Managing a team of 10 maintenance engineers across 7 sites covering the Midlands and South East Area
* Maintain and improve the companies planned, preventative maintenance programme (PPM)
* Develop, Create and drive forward Maintenance policies and procedures
* Improve the engineering systems
* Ensure compliance across all sites
* Provide hands on support to the engineers with Fault-Finding, Diagnostics and repair of machinery including Industrial Refrigeration, Industrial Microwaves, Pallet Wrappers, Gear Boxes, Walk in Freezers etc.
* Manage contractors on site
* To deliver agreed plans and budgets, including established level of servicing
* To control all Engineering cost lines through robust planning and auditing
Candidate requirements – Engineering Manager
The ideal candidate must come from the engineering industry as a Engineering Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
* Ideally hold an engineering qualification such as a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, C&G, HNC, HND or similar
* Experience gained ideally Manufacturing, Refrigeration or similar
* Experience of managing large teams of engineers
* Ideally managed multiple sites
* Experience of setting up policies, procedures and continuous improvement of TPM, PPM systems
* Experience within mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Have a hands on and pro-active approach to engineering
This will be a one stage interview with a basic engineering test on-site
