Consult Energy have partnered with a leading consultancy who deliver critical projects in energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing, with this role being part of the Nuclear team.
The role:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to support the delivery of Electrical Control Systems on a nuclear site.
This role will involve managing a team of Engineers, as well as working closely with Project Management and key stakeholders to support the delivery of the project.
Engineering Manager – Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering efforts on the project and serve as the main contact for all engineering matters.
* Ensure project quality, compliance, safety, budget, and schedule requirements are met.
* Oversee project design from initiation to handover.
* Liaison between Project Management and Technical teams
Engineering Manager - Key Skills/Experience:
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary design packages in regulated environments (preferably nuclear).
* Background in electrical engineering / EC&I, and ability to support electrical installation / test / commissioning activities
* Ability to write technical specifications
* Good people management skills – this includes in-house teams and external suppliers
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication
* Able to deliver design within a Nuclear Site Licence, and experience working within commercial frameworks
* Experience in working to requirements of CDM 2015.
* Active Security Clearance
