Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: South Devon
Are you an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer, with an electrical bias, looking for a hands-on role in a growing team?
I'm looking for a dynamic and proactive Engineering Manager to lead our small but expanding team in South Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company, working closely with production, health and safety, and the factory manager to drive operational excellence.
The business are looking to invest into the site, as they're part of a wider group - so an exciting time!!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a small team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Be actively involved in hands-on engineering tasks while also overseeing team operations.
Manage and develop a planned preventive maintenance (PPM) system to ensure equipment reliability.
Ensure the effective use and continuous improvement of our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Support engineering meetings, drive process improvements, and maintain detailed engineering records.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with health and safety teams to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support to the wider team.
Key Requirements:
Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on experience.
Proven experience in leading and managing an engineering team.
Experience in setting up or maintaining a PPM system.
Knowledge of CMMS and the ability to use or implement maintenance tracking software.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with production and health & safety teams.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
