We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Engineering Cost Control and Administrator to support the delivery of a machine build project. This fixed-term contract position is essential for ensuring accurate tracking and management of project costs, smooth administrative operations, and ensuring timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Control & Reporting:
* Track, monitor, and report on project costs related to the machine build.
* Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
* Identify and flag any cost overruns, potential risks, or discrepancies.
* Support the development and maintenance of cost control systems and procedures.
Procurement Support:
* Assist in managing procurement processes, including purchase orders and invoices.
* Ensure that suppliers and subcontractors adhere to agreed cost structures and timelines.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Administration & Documentation:
* Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, project updates, and other required documentation.
* Provide administrative support to the project team as required.
* Manage project filing systems, including both digital and hard copy records.
Project Scheduling & Coordination:
* Help coordinate project schedules to ensure alignment between costs, timelines, and project deliverables.
* Assist with tracking progress against project milestones and budget.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in cost control, project administration, or similar roles within engineering or construction environments.
* Knowledge of cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency is essential).
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
