Electroplating Operative

North Birmingham location
An exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturer is looking for an experienced electroplating operative to join the business on a permanent basis. Paying an attractive salary plus shift allowance working rotating shifts with an early finish each Friday!
Your duties will include;
• Produce accurate, high-quality work efficiently.
• Responsible for quality checks using an X-ray machine.
• Operating and programming furnaces, ensuring schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Loading and unloading furnaces (FLT Counterbalance required).
• Responsible for Pero Washing and Tin Plating processes.
• Responsible for measuring scrap levels.
• Adhere to schedules as instructed and agreed with the coordinator.
• Follow 5S principles: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain.
• Maintain a neat and tidy working area and general housekeeping to support Health and Safety procedures.
• Take a responsible approach to Health, Safety, and Environmental risks, controlling or reporting them appropriately.
• Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements, including wearing personal protective equipment (work boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, overalls, etc.).
Professional Skills:
• 1+ years of experience working in a factory, specifically in electroplating and Auto & Semi Auto Machinery.
• Experience using various forms of measuring equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
