Job Description

Join an innovative scientific instrument company as an Electronics Repair Technician, where you’ll play a pivotal role in diagnosing and repairing cutting-edge electronic systems and subsystems. This position offers the opportunity to engage in the full product lifecycle—from testing initial designs to refining manufactured systems—while collaborating with instrument fitters, test engineers and electronics engineers. Key Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair faults in sophisticated electronic systems, proposing design improvements where necessary. * Conduct unit testing and document repairs to ensure high-quality releases. * Source components for repairs and assist in managing supplier relationships. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Test Engineers, Fitters) to resolve design and production issues. * Support prototype assembly and testing of new designs. * Raise Manufacturing Change Notes, permits, and Design Change Requests to streamline production and address issues. * Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC61010, ISO13485, 21CFR820). Candidate profile: * Experience of electronics fault finding and repair inc. digital and analogue design * Understanding of how to interpret schematic drawings * Excellent communication skills This role is offered on an initial 12 month contract with realistic potential for extension.
