Position: Electrician Location: Galashiels, Scottish Borders Position Type: Contract £250 per day Must have JIB gold card and DOMS Water card About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team at a water treatment plant in Galashiels. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vital industry, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within the plant. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the water treatment plant. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems. Ensure all electrical work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with the engineering team to support ongoing plant operations and improvements.Requirements: Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or water treatment environment. Electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, 17th/18th Edition, or equivalent). Strong understanding of electrical systems and control panels. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Health and safety-conscious, with a commitment to safe working practices. Full UK driving license (due to the location of the plant).Desirable: Experience working in water treatment or similar industries.
