We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor on behalf of our client in the renewable energy sector. Role Overview
The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of electricians, ensuring that all installations meet the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of MCS certification, BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), and other industry regulations. Reporting directly to senior management, the Electrical Supervisor will help drive project success and maintain compliance in all electrical aspects of renewable energy installations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Supervision

Lead and supervise a team of electricians and electrical engineers, ensuring efficient and compliant installation of electrical systems.

Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices.

Monitor team performance, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
Compliance and Quality Assurance

Ensure all electrical installations comply with MCS standards, BS 7671, and other relevant regulations.

Conduct internal audits and quality checks to verify compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications.

Collaborate with the Renewables Manager to ensure all projects meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
Project Coordination and Planning

Work closely with project teams to plan and coordinate the electrical components of renewable energy installations.

Ensure electrical work integrates seamlessly into the overall project plan, avoiding delays and ensuring smooth execution.

Oversee the electrical design and installation process, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and project timelines.
Health, Safety, and Risk Management

Ensure all electrical installations comply with health and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and site safety procedures.

Conduct site inspections to identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Report any safety incidents or near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken to improve workplace safety.

Supervise installations of air source heat pumps, solar panels, and mechanical ventilation systems with a strong focus on safety protocols.
Issue Resolution and Customer Support
Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standards.
Address non-compliance issues during installations, implementing corrective actions and resolving technical problems efficiently.
Ensure all installations are fully tested, commissioned, and meet operational requirements.
Provide customers with operational guidance on newly installed systems to ensure optimal functionality and satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of all electrical installations, including compliance certificates, test results, and inspection reports.
Use company software systems to track project progress, update documentation, and generate reports for senior management.
Ensure all documentation remains up-to-date and fully compliant with industry regulations.
Training and Continuous Improvement

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for electricians and electrical engineers.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to provide feedback and contribute to process enhancements.
