Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee and manage the operation, maintenance, and optimization of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems, as well as instrumentation and control systems. This role will involve direct supervision and coordination of the electrical team, including engineers, technicians, and apprentices, while providing critical engineering support across various operational functions including O&M, Gases, Site Maintenance, and Design.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Reliability & Safety: Ensure the operational reliability, efficiency, and safety of all electrical and control systems across the site.
Team Supervision: Directly supervise and provide leadership to electrical engineers, technicians, and apprentices, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of electrical engineering services.
Maintenance Programmes: Organise, implement, and control planned preventative maintenance programs for electrical/instrumentation systems.
System Management: Oversee site electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including HV and LV distribution, UPS, fire detection, CCTV, ultra-pure water, HVAC systems, and more.
Design & Development: Support plant development by designing electrical control panels and systems.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control system design, including HV/LV distribution, instrumentation, and PLCs.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of innovative solutions in electrical systems and production.
Leadership Skills: Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated ability to progress projects independently and report effectively on progress.
Technical Qualifications: e.g., Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentBefore You Apply
