Job Description
Electrical Design Engineer
We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a well-established company in Gloucester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in designing and coordinating electrical systems for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed electrical designs and calculations.
* Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into the overall project design.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and environmental considerations.
* Conduct site inspections and liaise with the construction team to ensure successful project delivery.
* Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and documentation.
* Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
* HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (minimum requirement).
* BS7671:2018 (advantageous but not essential).
* City & Guilds 2396 (advantageous but not essential).
* IET Membership (advantageous but not essential).
* Experience designing electrical systems for a range of building types.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Good practical knowledge is an advantage.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
* Revit experience (advantageous but not essential).
* Familiarity with design calculation software such as Trimble Pro Design, Relux, or Dialux.
