Job Description

EHS Advisor Location: St Albans Start Date: ASAP Salary: £38,000 per annum + benefits Role Overview: The EHS Advisor will support the Regional HSEQ Team in implementing environmental and safety mitigations throughout the design and construction phases of projects. The role requires the post-holder to act as a model for environmental and safety best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and assisting in the execution of HSE strategies. Key Responsibilities: Support the Regional HSEQ Team on environmental and safety matters. Assist Site Delivery Teams in complying with safety and environmental requirements. Contribute to pre-start planning, including ecology surveys. Prepare for external audits (ISO14001, ISO50001, CEMARS) and assist in Environmental Performance Reporting. Support long-term Carbon strategy and initiatives. Attend client meetings, develop internal training, and contribute to environmental initiatives. Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations. Key Requirements: Experience in environmental health, safety, and construction, infrastructure, or related sectors. Knowledge of ecology and pre-construction screening. Proficiency in Office 365; PowerBi and PowerApps experience is desirable. NEBOSH Construction certificate, Environmental degree, and Affiliate/Associate IEMA qualification preferred. Strong communication, report writing, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with both senior management and frontline teams.
