Education Welfare Officer Job Title: Educational Welfare Officer Location: Secondary School, Newham Employment Type: Full-Time – 8am – 4pm Start Date: ASAP – Long term placement – Potential temp to perm Salary: £17 per hour PAYE About the Role: anzuk Education is recruiting for an experienced and organised Education Welfare Officerfor a long-term role in a secondary school in Newham. To apply for this role, you must have UK school administration experience as an Education Welfare Officer and an enhanced DBS on the update service. We can only accept candidates with a valid right to work in the UK. Experience with SIMS, Bromcom or Arbor is preferred. Key Responsibilities: * Monitoring student attendance and addressing any issues. * Conducting home visits. * Working proactively to identify and support issues early. * Developing comprehensive support plans and policies. * Assisting students in transitioning between educational settings. * Analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. * Ensuring effective communication between many parties. * Advocating for the rights and welfare of students. * Making referrals to appropriate services or support networks if necessary.
