Keep reading as we know of a practice and its hiring. A new independent Practice on the outskirts of Brisbane is hiring from growth and they are looking for an ECC vet to join their team. Samford Emergency Vets (SEV) is an independent newly established and privately owned Emergency Centre founded by Dr Leigh Hanlon BSc BVSc MANZCVS. It is dedicated to providing compassionate after hours and emergency care for the small animals of Samford and beyond while providing overnight support for surrounding/referring general veterinary practitioners. SEV is uniquely located on 1.5 acres in beautiful downtown Samford Valley. A palm tree lined paradise called Samford Palms. It has been built from the ground up with a vision to provide dedicated and focused after hours and emergency care to the small animal patients of the Samford Community and beyond. What they are looking for. * A degree in Veterinary Medicine. * A minimum of 3 years exp. * Sole charge responsibilities. * Ability to work evening and overnight shifts. * Experience in emergency and critical care is desirable, however if you have a great attitude and want to learn we want to hear from you! * Commitment to delivering compassionate and high-quality veterinary care. * Ability to communicate with pet owners. Your Role Is. As an Overnight Emergency and Critical Care Vet you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care. Responsibilities include: * Emergency Response: Responding promptly to emergency cases that arrive during the night/after-hours. * Providing overnight care to existing medical and surgical patients from surrounding general practitioners that need supervision overnight and will be returned the following morning. * Critical Care: Providing intensive monitoring and treatment to critically ill patients, including those recovering from surgery or suffering from severe medical conditions. * Diagnostic Expertise: Triaging and applying through examinations and appropriate diagnostics for critical care treatment of each patient within their care. * Performing emergency surgeries when necessary. * Client Communication. * Documentation and Record-Keeping. * Team Support: Vets are expected to provide mentorship and guidance to all support staff working overnight.
