The vacancy We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our supply staff team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Children's Centre, ensuring a high-quality learning environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines. This post is variable hours - the hourly rate is £11.52 - £11.82 per hour. What we're looking for: Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or working towards it). GCSE Maths grade C or above. Basic Food Safety and Paediatric First Aid certifications. Recent experience in a day nursery or similar setting. Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding children. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.What you'll be doing: Maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment for children. Provide a happy and friendly atmosphere for children and parents. Establish and maintain professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals. Plan and implement stimulating activities that support children's development. Act as a proactive key person, ensuring the provision of the EYFS through the seven areas of learning and development. Produce accurate written records of children's development through assessments and observations. Ensure effective behaviour management and promote positive behaviour. Serve meals, prepare snacks, and assist with feeding babies and children. Attend staff meetings and undertake cleaning duties as required.
