Early Years Manager – South West London - £35-£50k per year
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional with leadership skills and a passion for supporting children with autism.
As the Deputy Centre Manager, you will take on a unique hybrid role, combining Early Years Lead/Room Manager responsibilities with Deputy Centre Manager duties, supporting both classroom activities and the smooth operational running of our centre.
In this split role, you’ll divide your time between leading activities in our classrooms and coordinating administrative functions alongside the General Manager/Head Teacher.
You’ll ensure the centre operates smoothly, maintains exemplary standards, and fosters a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities Classroom & Early Years Leadership
• Lead and plan activities in the classroom, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
• Safeguard children and staff, ensuring all policies are adhered to and incidents are appropriately escalated.
• Promote best practices in Early Years education, maintaining high standards to achieve and retain an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rating.
• Support and guide staff in delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for children. Operational & Administrative Coordination
• Plan centre activities and schedules in collaboration with the Centre Manager.
• Manage resources, ensuring toys, equipment, and materials are ordered, stored, and maintained to high standards.
• Handle invoicing, administration, and telephone queries, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Deliver staff training and support recruitment and HR processes.
• Maintain a high standard of safety, security, and hygiene across the centre.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience leading teams in an Early Years setting (e.g., Room Lead)
• Experience working with children with autism or in a SEND setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and Early Years policies and procedures
• Enthusiasm for learning and applying ABA principles Desirable Skills & Experience
• Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or similar role
• Interest in ABA Therapy and interdisciplinary approaches to early intervention
