Digital Skills Tutor – £30.00 per hour including 12.7% holiday pay – Kensington and Chelsea The Role Are you an experienced ICT tutor with a knack for inspiring adult learners? Do you enjoy helping adult learners develop the confidence they need to succeed in work and daily life? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for a Digital Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality digital training to employed and unemployed adults on a sessional basis. You will work with learners of all abilities, supporting them in developing essential digital skills. Your role will involve creating engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, and ensuring each individual gains the confidence to use digital tools effectively. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging teaching sessions and workshops, following curriculum guidelines. Assess learners' skills, adapting methods and resources to individual needs. Track and record learner progress, offering constructive feedback to support improvement. Prepare students for both accredited and non-accredited assessments, marking assignments and exams. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments. Register new learners and conduct initial assessments during registration sessions. The Person Practical work experience as an ICT tutor, demonstrating hands-on knowledge and skills applicable to real-world scenarios. Experience of teaching adult learners and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role. Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work. Awareness of differentiation and a commitment to inclusivity in your teaching and professional conduct. Experience of managing mixed groups of learners. Experience of assessing and recording progress, both in accredited and non-accredited learning and supporting learners. Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards. Ability to offer sound support in offering information, advice and guidance to learners The ability to plan programmes of work and develop creative, relevant activities that will facilitate learning. The ability to motivate and encourage learners with a variety of learning experiences and from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team. An understanding of equality and diversity, safeguarding policies, health and safety and a commitment to putting them into practice
