Job Description

DevSecOps Engineer Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Location: Shrivenham (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote) *UK Security Clearance required for this position, UK Passport Holder needed. About the Role We are seeking a talented DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain efficient DevOps workflows. This role is crucial in supporting continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation, ensuring seamless collaboration between development and operations teams. You will play a key part in automating processes, optimising performance, and maintaining high availability in modern software environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). Monitor and optimise system performance to ensure reliability and scalability. Design and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Integrate security into DevOps workflows, including static code analysis, dependency checks, and penetration testing. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) with a focus on anomaly detection and incident response. Automate security workflows, including vulnerability detection, patch management, and compliance audits. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments. Automate routine tasks such as system updates, backups, and resource provisioning. Document DevOps processes and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing. Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities. Essential Skills & Experience Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on expertise with Ansible and Terraform. Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting. Passion for automation and continuous improvement. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and methodologies. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality solutions aligned with business goals.
