Job Description

Are you an experienced Design Manager (hybrid working) with a strong background in cladding and fire remediation? Our client, a leading Building Envelope Contractor, is seeking a skilled professional to lead design and technical coordination on high-profile re-cladding projects. The Role: * Technical Leadership – In-depth expertise in cladding systems, fire safety regulations, and building materials. * Project Management – Overseeing design stages, coordinating with architects, fire engineers, and stakeholders, ensuring timely project delivery. * Compliance & Problem-Solving – Ensuring designs meet relevant standards & regulations while addressing on-site challenges. * Software Proficiency – Ability to use AutoCAD (or similar) to manage and guide the design process. * Communication & Leadership – Leading a design team, mentoring junior staff, and effectively liaising with external consultants. * Financial Awareness – Managing budgets, cost estimation, and value engineering to optimize project efficiency. Who We’re Looking For: * 5+ years of experience in cladding (fire remediation experience highly desirable). * A detail-oriented, problem-solver with strong technical and leadership skills. * Someone within a reasonable commuting distance (max 2 hours) from the office/sites.
