MATERNITY COVER Deputy Nursery Manager - Streatham Hill
Salary 30-32k
Full time - 40 hours over 5 days per week
Working Dates- ASAP until 6th of June 2025.
Role may be made permanent after June if the staff on maternity leave does not return.
We are seeking a passionate temporary deputy manager to work within this established and popular nursery in Streatham Hill.
About the role:
The position is NOT room based as they will have their own office separate from the manager’s office.
Position: Deputy manager
Unit: Office based
Rate: Up to £32,000 per annum
Contracted hours: 40 hours (5 days) per week all year round (not Term time )
Start and finish times: 9am – 6pm with 1 hour unpaid break
Qualification required: Recognised level 3 qualification and above
More about the nursery:
Ofsted registered, 61 place, private day nursery situated in Streatham Hill, London.
The nursery occupies a large detached house with a large garden which offers the children plenty of opportunity for exploration, play and learning. The garden is divided into two sections; one with an impact resistant surface where we have our adventure playground equipment and the other, a natural surface with bark where we have pots for planting vegetables and fruits and also the mud kitchen.
We care for babies, toddlers and pre-school children between the ages of 3 months and five years. We follow the EYFS curriculum and offer the following extracurricular activities: French, Music, Yoga and Fun sports.
School Time
Open 8am to 6pm, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year. Closed for one week in August during the summer holiday and one week at Christmas during the Christmas holiday
As a maternity cover deputy manager you will be passionate about working with children, watching them develop under your care and looking to continue your career with a reputable nursery committed to happiness of the children and staff.
They need dynamic, driven and committed individuals with a child centred approach. Must have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years education or equivalent, be confident in leading a team of practitioners and have experience working in a similar role.
Other essential qualities: To have excellent written and spoken English, commitment to helping children thrive and get the best start in life, a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and a willingness to work as part of a team.
Salary for MATERNITY COVER Deputy Nursery Manager is 30-32k working 40 hours over 5 days.
