Job Description

About the Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest quality care and support for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will be leading, mentoring, and supporting staff, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations, and working closely with the Registered Manager to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Leadership & Team Development – Support and guide staff to ensure the home runs smoothly
✅ Safeguarding & Compliance – Ensure the home operates within Ofsted regulations and best practices
✅ Child-Centred Approach – Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people
✅ On-Call Responsibilities – Participate in an on-call rota to provide leadership and support
✅ Collaborative Working – Liaise with social workers, families, and external agencies

Who We’re Looking For:
✔ Experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential childcare setting (essential)
✔ Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
✔ A passion for supporting young people with EBD
✔ Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
✔ A full UK driving licence (preferred)
