Job Description
Staff Match are recruiting for a room based Deputy Manager to join a friendly nursery in Putney, Greater London. If you have good team building skills and a passion for early years and excellent knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
Experience of leading and motivating teams
Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
Some of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include:
To support the Nursery Manager and maintain a safe a high standard of practice in accordance with the nurseries principles, policies and procedures.
To deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained
To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
To lead the team and support in EYFS planning and ensure children’s development records are maintained
To carry our regular staff supervisions and coordinate staff meetings
To support the Nursery Manager with recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
To promote diversity and equal opportunity
To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
